If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But there's no need to worry. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Ile-a-Vache. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
