We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be cruising through airport security and having a blast in Ipoh before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you’ve got all the right gear. Firstly, you’ll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don’t have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are a common side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. The great news is there are ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Keep your fluids up, get up and walk around the cabin as much as you can and wear compression socks or tights.
