We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of Juist in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
