Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Kampot holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, important documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen feet can be a side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes work well.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are numerous ways to lower your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or perform exercises in your seat.
