Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Khwai could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some useful hints that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
