Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your La Falda holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are good options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
