Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Las Penas could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a stress-free flight experience is to pack in advance. Start with the essentials: passport, travel docs, cash and important medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic devices or a thrilling book. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, don't forget to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
