We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and having a ball in Laughlin before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, important documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite movies are good options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
