We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Liberia in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
