We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and seeing the best of Linz in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are good options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
