We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a ball in Llano de Los Patos in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Layer yourself up in breathable clothing and remember to pack a pullover just in case you get cold. Pick flat, slightly roomy shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the flight. Leave the stilettos and heavy hiking boots in your main luggage.
- Most travellers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are plenty of ways to mitigate your risk. Don a pair of compression tights or socks, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
