No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Lobito escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to take a quick snooze, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to remove.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
