We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Lubok Antu in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you bring the right gear. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
