Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Luong Son holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
