If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But there's no need to worry. Follow these useful tips for a comfortable start to your time in Mendoza. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, important documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
