We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you’ll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of Mestia before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you’ll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your prime concern when deciding what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are quite common. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- You’ve probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are plenty of ways to reduce your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and get your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
