Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Middle Quarters could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are always good options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
