If you're not prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your time in Minbu. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, make room in your bag for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
