No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Na Chueak escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
