Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Nagpur escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
