Depending on where you’re coming from, your journey to Natal could be completely painless or it could go on forever. We’ve rounded up some tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, wallet and medications. Next, you’ll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are good options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items so you’ll arrive looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your main priority when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swollen ankles and feet are quite common. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy work well.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It’s the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this happening. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression tights or socks can also help.
