Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Niaga could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a pain-free flight experience is to pack ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you busy, like your laptop or a juicy novel. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, don't forget to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- The serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks also helps reduce the risk.
