- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you’ll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your priority when picking what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long-haul is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
