We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and enjoying Odesa before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
