We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Pak Phli in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are always good options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
