Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Papagayo could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing travel experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel docs, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic devices or a thrilling book. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of headphones. And of course, be sure to toss in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
