Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you’ve prepared well. We’ve put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Paris escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you’ll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- It’s likely you’ve heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to lower your risk. Don a pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and get your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
