We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and discovering Po Thong in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin. Enclosed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's plenty you can do to lower your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks or tights, drink lots of water often and get your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
