If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips for a worry-free start to your holiday in Pontevedra. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel docs, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by layering up, and opt for flat, enclosed footwear like slip-ons.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
