We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a blast in Ratua Island in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
