If you’re not prepared, air travel can be tough. But don’t hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a pain-free start to your time in Saint-Malo.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you’ll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don’t have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and don’t forget to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop in the cabin on long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
