We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and exploring Saly in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
