No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Sedona escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object lurking in your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
