We’ve pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you’ll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Serik before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. First of all you’ll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don’t forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up with loose, breathable clothing and bring a sweater in case it gets cool in the cabin. Pick roomy, flat shoes as it’s possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the stilettos and hiking boots in your main luggage.
- The serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from happening. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce your risk.
