Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Skopelos could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel docs, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite movies are good options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool in the cabin. Flat, enclosed shoes are also recommended.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to reduce your risk. Wear a pair of compression tights or socks, stay hydrated and keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or perform exercises in your seat.
