Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will get your Sonzacate holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, important documents, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are always good options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by dressing in layers, and opt for easy-to-remove shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
