If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be daunting. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a worry-free start to your holiday in Stanley Bridge. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
