If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your holiday in Tenosique. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by donning layers, and opt for easy-to-remove shoes like slip-ons.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
