We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a blast in Teruel before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, aerosol cans and flares. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and items that could injure passengers, such as guns and swords, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up in natural fibers and remember to pack a cardigan just in case you get cold. Pick well-fitting, flat shoes as your feet may swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your main luggage.
- Most travellers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There are plenty of ways to reduce your risk. Wear a pair of compression tights or socks, stay hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or perform exercises in your seat.
