Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Touros holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you've got all the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
