We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through airport security and discovering Tuaran in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack in advance. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, cash and vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic gadgets or a good read. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to squeeze in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no fashion runway. Don comfortable layers and pack a cardigan as it can get chilly in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good choice.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help minimize this risk.
