We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a ball in Tujetsch in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a great flight experience is to pack in advance. First up, the essentials: passport, official ID, cash and daily medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like your laptop or a thrilling novel. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are no fashion runway. Wear comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
