Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will get your Tula escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, find room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
