Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Vega Alta could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've compiled some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, travel documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
