We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of Zagreb before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are good options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and wear flat, closed-toe footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
