Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Zeda Gordi could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some useful hints that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
