Hébergement très propre mais rustique et minimaliste. En fait de chambres dans le château nous étions logés dans d’anciennes réserves dont le ravalement n’était même pas réalisé, les gouttière n’étaient pas raccordées et le jardin autour à l’état de terrain vague. Les chambres sont sans penderie, sans TV et sans Wifi mais avec une odeur d’écurie persistante. Le petit déjeuner s’est résumé à 2 madeleines pour 2 et pour 2jours.Ayant séjourné 2jours la chambre n’a pas été faite durant notre séjour

Dépaysant

Surpris au premier abord, mais lorsqu’on pousse la grosse porte on se retrouve ailleurs dans un écrin de verdure et d’histoire. Les propriétaires vous explique l’histoire du château et des jardins. L’hôtel est très agréable admirablement restauré. Les propriétaires placent une grande attention à l’expérience d’une nuit dans le château.

Quirky place, but beware hot-tub not included!

I tend to base reviews and stars on key criterion such as Bed Comfort, quality of breakfast, and friendliness of hosts. So with this in mind... Positives are: Bed was comfortable = 1 star Hosts were friendly and helpful (allowing me to park my motorcycle in the courtyard) = 1 star Breakfast was good = 1 star Negatives are: Shower is neither relaxing or pleasant. The water is powerful and hot but the shower head does not have a holder and thus needs to be held in one's hand. Added to that, the tub that one stands in is like a bucket and water can go everywhere, there is even a sponge supplied to mop up any spillages. I have quite long hair and it was a struggle to wash it while bent over in the bucket to avoid spilling water all across the floor. Apparently, this is 'old fashioned' style ... well I say there is a clear reason why shower cubicles have moved on to be enclosed rooms - to stop leaks and make showering more enjoyable! = -1 star The hotel listing states there is a swimming pool and hot tub. There is no swimming pool. The hot tub is only accessible by payment of 50e for 45 minutes. This is not stated on the listing as an additional charge nor on the website. = -1star Consequently this is a 3 star place and I would neither recommend to a friend or stay at again.

A very special place!

Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect to disconnect and relax in the wonderful garden (if you’re lucky, the friendly cat and dog will join you). The hosts put a remarkable effort into researching the history of the place. With every room having its own theme and being dedicated to an important person from that era, the castle tells the story of the 19th century. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
