A wonderful find!

Just back from a wonderful 2 night stay at The Old Forge Chapel. Our lovely cosy room in the converted chapel was beautifully clean, with a bed that was so comfortable we could have stayed in it all day! Lots of thoughtful little touches like a Nespresso machine, straighteners and hairdryer. Even a mini fridge with fresh milk-so much nicer than UHT rubbish! Breakfast was fabulous-freshly cooked to order. Teresa and David are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely alternative option for Chichester

Old Forge Chapel is a lovely option for anyone looking for something a little different, that will stick in the memory. A very comfortable and homely room in a converted early 17th Century Chapel. Very friendly hosts who cook a marvellous breakfast. You will need a car for easy access.

Best B&B we have stayed in

Not as we expected

Stayed here in March. We thought we had booked the chapel room but we were in the main house, which we realised when we were asked to park by the house, not by the chapel. When we explained this to Teresa, she got David to speak to us. Having asked if we could move to the chapel, we found out it was booked for our 2nd night, so we asked if we could move for one night only. The reply was no as the bed would need to be made up twice. We had explained when booking that this was a special weekend away for us as it was my wife's Birthday. We stated we were unhappy with the room as we could here the the conversation in the kitchen. Having once again asked if we could move for one night and pay any difference, we were again told no, though David did say he would try to sell our room for the 2nd night. This was fine, until I then went on expedia to state we were unhappy with the check in, to have 1st Teresa, then David, come to the room. We were told in no uncertain terms we were not welcome and would be leaving in the morning. Although we had paid for breakfast the breakfast card was ripped up in front of us, very unprofessional. To be honest we could not wait to leave but had to wait until 07:30 in the morning as the cheque for the 2nd night re - imbursement was dated March 2017.

Warm welcome on a cold day

We had a lovely warm welcome on a very cold day, our room was delightful with views over the Fields,we had everything we needed really was first class . The owners were so friendly and helpful, in the morning we had a lovely breakfast which was also excellent . Will definitely recommend it to friends and family

Perfect for a stop in Chichester area

Lovely b & b. Lots of attention to detail and little extras like a fridge for fresh milk and hair straighteners in the room. Lovely couple running this place, superb freshly cooked to order breakfast. Quiet room and comfy bed.
