"Everything was excellent"

"Room was dirty, especially bathroom (hair on floor and sink area & in shower, skidmarks in toilet) room carpet dirty. Nothing in the room other than bed, tv & stinky fridge. A banging noise in the wall occurring often (I assume water pipes?). Went to check out at 8:30am and the office was locked... nobody there. No place to leave the key card. Rang the doorbell... nobody came."

"Our second stay. The facility was excellent, staff great. Truly a 4.5-star hotel. Great value for money. Would be a FIVE had the breakfast more pissaz—some signature item or noteworthy dish, but it was okay; the cook a delightful lady."

"Check in was quick and easy. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was not good though. The carpet was not vacuumed. There were pieces and Doritos and pretzels all around the floor. The furniture was very worn and damaged. The comforters were stained. I would not even sleep under them. The breakfast Buffett was decent. Nice eating area. Based on the cleanliness of the room though, I would not stay there again or recommend it."

"This is a no-frills motel with no vending except an ice machine, BUT the service from the staff (I assume it’s the owner and family, as they’re always there) is top notch. We enjoy staying at Alpine. The rooms are clean and have a good amount of space. If you’re just looking for a good night’s sleep at a good price, this is a great place. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant, Puerto Nuevo, next door, as well as a good Italian restaurant. Several stores and restaurants around, too. Abingdon is a beautiful town."
