"We arrived at Finca San Juan for the last 3 nights of our two week trip around Nicaragua. When we arrived we were so happy - the resort, property and staff were amazing right from the start! The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had a garden view of the volcano steps outside our room. The showers were hot and each day we got clean towels and cleaning service. Each morning we were greated by the most beautiful white horses and cows grazing off our back deck. The restaurant had a beautiful view of the lake and served the most delicious meals. The free breakfast was a great way to start the day and would 100% reccomend the Whole Fish for dinner! There are shaded chairs on the lake front attached to the property, a great way to spend some time relaxing. The water was clean and warm and refreshing. The birds, butterflies and vegetation gave it a wonderful tropical feel. To cap it off, we were treated to nightly views and sounds of the local howler monkeys! We will definitely be back and excited to recommend this to everyone who travels this way."

The rooms on the first floor with volcano views from the veranda are great - worth paying extra for. Tasty, generous breakfast. Good location, walkable to ferry, and shops and restaurants of Moyogalpa. "

"First, let me start this review by saying that my wife and Children were so impressed by everything, we were unable to find a single thing that could be improved upon. The breathtaking view was the first thing we noticed and continued to admire throughout the 3-night stay. You can see lake Nicaragua and the enormous volcano from the hotel which sits atop some high ground. The next thing you will notice is owner’s attentiveness to every detail of your experience from check in to breakfast to your time at the pool. Just when you think you need something, he is right there to ask you. At the same time, this hotel affords the privacy and tranquility of a private home rental. The pool is perfect. It was the cleanest and best kept pool I have seen in Nicaragua. The room we stayed in was as big or bigger than our apartment and had a very modern and well-kept feel to it, while at the same time also felt elegant and well-appointed. The bed was extended comfortably, the bathroom was large and had plenty of room with 2 sinks and a bathtub. Breakfast. I have not had a breakfast that was so freshly and well-prepared every morning and complete with everything you could imagine…coffee, juice, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, cheese, gallo pinto, fried plantains, pancakes, and thinly cut cured meat (whic I found to be quite a nice luxury) made to order just how you want it that morning. The staff were so friendly and eager to make everything about our stay just the way we wanted it. "

"I am giving three stars because I expected more from the presidential room we paid for. While the staff were welcoming and helpful, the hotel itself left much to be desired. A major issue was the lack of hot water for showers, which is unacceptable considering the price of the presidential suite. Additionally, there were very few amenities included for example, the boat ride was not part of the package, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the food was excellent, and the views were truly spectacular. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I do not plan to return."
